The health and state of our voice is directly linked to our physical and emotional health. The Winter Vocal Sessions have been created to nourish your lungs and your voice in the middle of winter. Singing reduces stress and anxiety and produces oxytocin. It is especially important to sing during the dark time of the year.

Session Content:
Session 1: The Nourishing Voice
Singing for lung health and lung support.
Discovering your entire breathing apparatus
Breath and voice exercises that strengthen, deepen and expand the breath and breathing capabilities.
Session 2: The Balancing Voice
Singing is one of the only things that you do that utilizes both sides of the brain.
Grounding vocal exercises that get you back into your body and allow you to feel the support of your voice.
Exploring the lower and middle parts of your voice.
Feeling the support of the earth, your body and your voice.
Session 3: The Inspiring Voice (The Creative Voice)
Singing and vocalizing are a creative act.
Every word you have ever spoken, sound you’ve uttered, song that you have sung will vibrate continuously, forever. The sounds of our world are still in existence. You are a creative being. Through the vibrations of our voice we can feel this creation. Be prepared to be inspired. Bring paper and a pen.
Session 4: The Clarifying Voice
Sing away winter’s gray. Singing supports mental clarity. In this session, you will learn to use your voice as an active meditative tool. Singing for focus, mental clarity and release. Learn how to safely sing in the higher range of your voice and feel the voice resonate in your face, head and crown chakra.
